IBM Websphere MQ comes with an OOTB REST API to allow other external integrations to check the queue manager health. This is documented here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/mq-appliance/9.1?topic=reporting-monitoring-queue-manager-health
We would like to use this feature in the OMoC platform to verify connectivity. Please exposte this api in the OMoC environment so 3rd parry integration engines can use it.

How will this idea be used?
As an integration platform, our integration team wants to connect to Webshpere MQ to check queue manager health prior to the more expensive operation of connecting to the queue(s). They have indicated this is a best practice and a common pattern when integrating to MQ. |

Given OMoC is a managed cloud service (SaaS) we will not be able to expose the MQ rest api for the purpose of health check however we can expose the up time for the MQ service. Let us know if this works.
For MQ connectivity, you may also setup a dummy message to verify if the test message can be received from the other end. If it does not, there can be multiple factor ranging from invalid certification, bad firewall configuration, etc. Please refer here for more details https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/order-management?topic=troubleshooting-mq-connectivity-issues
