Stock History Relocation - Multiple consolidation Merged

Most client organizations periodically will consolidate warehouse stock to a single location either closer to or further away from the end customer depending on size and frequency of use. but the company decides to consolidate down to 1 or 2 locations only, despite having been extended to 5 or 7 different warehouses initially. the Stock History Relocation feature works on a one-off basis, but most relocations are not one-off incidents, and when they do occur, Inventory Analysts are rarely involved. Ability to relocate historic transactions needs to be able to done in mass via a load sheet, with multiple locations being able to consolidate into a single record. While this may pose "risk" for data entry accuracy, realistically this is the only way this or Manage Duplicates features will be used with any volume or frequency, as MRO users don't have the time to do this one at a time, when hundreds of items can be relocated in a short period of time by warehouse staff.

    Stock history relocation feature is very useful in transferring usage history from old storage location to another new storage location. However, it has be done one material code at a time.

    Operations/maintenance initiated few projects in the past which required transferring more than 4K stock codes from one storage location to another storage location. It will be extremely manual and very time consuming to use stock history relocation feature for each stock code individually in such projects.

    So, we request you to enhance this stock history relocation feature to improve efficiency.
