Currently, the MapTrace halts/stops after the first error is encountered. This makes debugging issues and correcting input data difficult, as only one error can be fixed at a time, then the file needs to be re-run to check if there are any other failures. If an input file had 20 incorrect pieces of data for example, this would mean 20 re-runs of the file in order to find and fix each error.

How will this idea be used?
The MapTrace would instead report multiple errors, more like the translation report that is obtained with Map Editor. This would enable a developer (or a customer) to make multiple fixes in one go, without having to re-run data after each error is resolved in turn. |

Sarah,
Have you tried setup a restart so that bad data is skipped over and processing continues?
Thanks,
