During our performance testing, we found that some queries against the SPE_HIPAA_RULES table were flagged by our performance monitoring tools as being slow/inefficient. By adding these indexes, we were able to improve the performance of these queries, and of the SPE Deenveloping service. We have manually added these indexes to our database for now. But by adding them to the product, it will simplify future maintenance for FEPOC, and also improve the performance for other customers.

Note: Please note that adding these indexes still did not resolve the other PMR that I opened for SPE Deenveloping slowdowns.

With new indexes created with product it would help all customers and we don't have to worry about indexes getting wiped after implementing new version

    Customers can add indexes to any table they want as many other customers have (simple SQL command). Any index we could add to the product OOTB would just be a simple index since we can just add the @Index annotation to our ORM (ConfigurableRule.java class), not anything specific for aeach customer's specific needs. We do not discourage customers from adding any indexes they deem beneficial and our code nor OpenJPA would remove it.
