A process to purge or mass acknowledge these transactions to prevent database size and performance concerns is needed.
A general table truncate option is not an option as there will be some valid ITXA transactions in the database from other partners or processes that need to be retained. The process must be date driven, and the ability to purge by specific partners and transactions would be ideal.
Capabilities for routine database maintenance already exist in other products within the B2B space, such as Sterling Integrator; it’s not clear why this capability is not consistent across all IBM B2B products that require database functionality.

How will this idea be used?
Companies need to execute multiple performance verification cycles in the various ITXA environments. During these cycles high volumes of outbound transactions will be created and stored in the database as part of the test process. However, these transactions will not be sent to partners and therefore no functional acknowledgments will ever be received. This capability will make it possible to remove these pending transactions from the database without a cumbersome manual process to facilitate additional testing, production deployments and maintain a stable environment. |
