Ability to trigger the Supply or Demand buckets inventory picture for an item on demand/need basis

Currently client systems are subscribed to supply change and demand change events from IV over webhooks to reflect inventory buckets for client front end needs. For any missing events due to any reason, there is no functionality in IV to retrigger the current inventory buckets picture over webhook unless there is a quantity change when source system sends the inventory updates for that item to IV. If there is no change in inventory quantity between source and IV, no inventory events will be triggered from IV. This leaves a gap/inventory discrepancy between IV and subscribing systems so there is a need to have a sync process for supply /demand buckets for an item.

when there is inventory discrepancy is identified between source, IV and subscribing systems, this process can be used to sync between IV and subscribing systems. Currently, client had to force zero out the inventory and resend the inventory buckets to generate the missing events.

Thanks Sampson, for customer to invoke the publish_all api for Shipnode we have more than a million items for DC warehouse and we would like to trigger only for a specific items/shipnode combination that could send same payload to webhooks or COS. this is what i was looking for as capability.

This functionality already exists, customer can invoke the publish_all api for Shipnode snapshot to get the latest availability information at each node without needing to change quantity.

Recommendation is that Customer should proactively download their failed events on a daily basis if any. When an event fails to propagate to customer webhook or COS (very unlikely), IBM attempts to retry up to 5 times, thereafter the events will be placed in a failed repository to allow consumer to reprocess the data after they download the package. Please see the details on how to retrieve the failed events. This is the recommended path in comparison to invoke a republish blindly.
