IV APIs should publish events e.g. On successful creation of reservation or on partial reservation so that an action can be taken upon that event.

How will this idea be used?

Typically IV will be used in conjunction to other applications and there will be need to call IV API e.g. create reservation and then using reservation create an order. This order will be created as IV publishes the reservation success event. The only way to do this today would be write a custom API in front of IV, defeating the purpose of IV API
