User Credential Management & Auditability in IV

Current Limitation:

IV currently uses a single shared credential for all users. This results in:

  1. No traceability of who made specific changes.

  2. Lack of role-based access control, as all users have the same level of access (typically edit).

Proposed Enhancement:

  1. Multi-user support and access control

    • Allow multiple users/credentials for users or roles.

    • Support varying access levels (view-only, edit, admin etc.).

  2. Auditability / Change Attribution

    • Credential/user association with each action/change.

Value Add:

  1. Enhances security and access governance.

  2. Prevents accidental or unauthorized changes by limiting edit access.

  3. Supports during troubleshooting or rollback needs.
