IDoc Control Record must contain tag EDI_DC40_U for Foreign Language to be in readable format within the SAP Environment

Changing the Control Record EDI_DC40__ (__ equals two trailing spaces) to EDI_DC40_U (one space and a U). Which when exported to a single file the output is okay, but the very first field in the record is 300, so the output = "EDI_DC40_U300" the first field starts at position 11 so it’s not throwing any subsequent fields off. The SAP ERP system is looking for a space after the "U" and before the "300". The issue is that when changing the start position of the first field from Start Position 11 to Start Position 12, it would throw off the positioning of all the fields in that record. The first field (MANDT) is max of 3 characters so if throwing off the positioning of the subsequent fields is a problem.

Is there a way to apply an enhancement for this to work?

I've attached two screen shots for your reference.

  1. IDoc_EDI_DC40 -- Foreign language is not recognized

  2. IDoc_EDI_DC40_U -- Foreign Language is recognized (SAP ABAPer successfully created the IDoc using the Inbound File Program RSEINB00. The Control Record needs to be EDI_DC40_U
