Dual client install ability to access each environments directories

When the client is used as a dual client install (the one client machine can access both production and test installations of GSW) the ability to access each clients directory (Options > Preferences > Directories) would be beneficial for developers. in order to access each environments maps and translation objects.

How will this idea be used?

Having the client point to multiple environments and have the ability to point each environment to the directories on the server will allow me to code in all instances and the mapping available real-time.  Information would all be in one central location, not on each users desktop.
