Manager delegation enhancement

Manager delegation for approvals currently works if the delegate is on the same team as the manger. It does not work however is the team of the person doing the delegation contains another person having the same role.


Eg.

Tim - Sales Manager - Team A

John - Sales Manager - Team A

Linda - Service Manager - Team B


Tim or John could not delegate to Linda because they are both in Team A and share the same role. If Tom or John had a different role, then they could delegate across teams.

How will this idea be used?

Team structures within any large organization will mean that there are multiple people sharing the same the same role. Not being able to delegate across teams is a significant drawback and limitation.
