Propagate DSNTYPE values between z/OS systems

Consider cloning the DSNTYPE values for transfers between z/OS systems by the default.

Shouldn't be necessary to specify them if the source dataset must be the same as the destination

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

It is due to the need for integration with the different applications that use Connect:Direct.

Currently the DSNTYPE values must be specified if you want to keep the same as the source file, and this should be the default.

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I have reviewed it with my team and they believe this capability is already available in our product. I'd suggest reaching out to support to seek for their guidance on how to handle your needs. Since this is already available I will need to decline this request, but please don't hesitate to use this tool again should you have other ideas that we should consider.
