Ambiguous Logon Messages For zCD instead of RACF001I, RACF002I

Hello. You have several message IDs for zCD logon security that are not ambiguous. We want you to offer ambiguous logon messages that will not give any hint to an nonauthorized user.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

It should be on the way to being an industry standard. It will be used to prevent specific information from being shown in the logon error messages. The lack of information such was wrong userID or wrong password will not give any clues to an nonauthorized user.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. After discussing with development, we believe, implementing this change is not aligned with broader market needs and customer UX. User with RACF001I can do a search and get the rationale for the error. For that reason I am putting this as "Not under consideration" and we can revisit this once we see interest from more customers (via Voting or Comments)

I understand that this is not the answer you were expecting however if you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. Appreciate your patience.

    Thanks,

    Product Management

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with us. I have reviewed it with my team and we believe it would be a technically feasible and valuable enhancement. I will accept it and will look to add it to our development backlog moving forward.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders
