Intrinsic Symbolic Variables for other Connect Direct Platforms

Currently, Intrinsic Symbolic Variables is only available to CD z/OS and CD Windows.  This should be made available to other CD platforms as well.

If Intrinsic Symbolic Variables are made available to CD UNIX for example, this will greatly expand the usability of the product.

    We are having intrinsic variable ${%STEPCOMPLETE%} in Sterling Secure Proxy and we are using this variable in Step Injection process to invoke script on Remote CD node.

    We want to invoke same script using Connect Direct without SSP, but couldn't find equivalent intrinsic variable in Connect Direct Unix. It would be good if we have equivalent intrinsic variables in CD Unix.

    What time and date the step completed, in the format yyyyddd_hhmmsshh, where yyyy = year, ddd = day of year, hh =.hours, mm = minutes, ss = seconds, and hh = hundredths of seconds.

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM.  I have reviewed it with my team and we believe that your request to expand support for intrinsic variables reasonable  We will accept this enhancement request and will look to place this item on the roadmap moving forward.
