Enable file exchange access to IBM Sterling Global High Availability Mailbox with Connect:Direct

Connect:Direct has the ability to transfer files using several application files storage platforms such as local files, NFS, S3, and others. This could be extended to support direct access to B2B Integrator mailboxes and, in particular, to Global Mailbox.  There is nothing in Global Mailbox that is so tightly coupled to B2Bi that would make integration with Connect Direct a nightmare.  Even when I first worked with Global Mailbox, I saw no obstacles to adding it to Connect:Diect.  This would enable the use of a full Connect:Direct server instead of the CDSA in B2Bi which has many problems as it is a very limited implementation of Connect:Direct.  Files transferred via Connect:Direct to Global Mailbox would be immediately available to B2Bi and Sterling File Gateway.

    Hello Ken,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. After discussing with development,we believe, implementing this change does not align with broader roadmap. The B2Bi adapter is the designated product for integrating Global Mailbox. The C:D protocol does not support Global Mailbox, which is a significant enhancement. For that reason I am putting this as "Not under consideration" and we can revisit this once we see interest from more customers (via Voting or Comments)
