This portal is to open public enhancement requests for IBM Sterling products and services. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

For a minimal CD footprint, CCD is not a must option. The simplest option is to renew the certificate. we recommend you to write a script or scripts to execute the steps. We have provided the commands for the first and third steps.
Create CSR in PEM format
Here, the certificate’s Secure+ label is “kundentag3”,
> keytool -certreq -keystore cdkeystore.p12 -alias kundentag3 -file kundentag3.csr.pem
2. Forward CSR to Certification Authority (CA), which will create the public certificate
The customer must obtain this command from the CA.
3. Import Public Certificate
> keytool -importcert -keystore cdkeystore.p12 -alias kundentag3 -file kundentag3.cert.pem
Certificate reply was installed in keystore

Hi Andrew,
Sterling Connect:Direct certificate management using Venafi”, introduced in Sterling Control Center 6.4.0 solves this RFE. If you have Sterling Control Center Director, Please consider to upgrade to version 6.4. If its something new, I would be happy to flag the team to give a demo of the capability. Please let me know your thoughts.
I have kept documentation links for your reference,
