I don't think Integrated File Agent currently supports or allows multiple File Agent configurations. Having this capability would support organization and separation of work. We currently use Integrated File Agent with our AWS ec2 instances. Having multiple File Agent configurations is supported by Stand Alone File Agent, but we will not have access to the Stand Alone File Agent gui in AWS.

How will this idea be used?
Having multiple configuration support for Integrated File Agent will allow us to separate work based on the internal application the File Agent rules are for. |

Hi Brian,

On the call, I forgot to mention another reason for IFA being able to support multiple configurations. For example, there is an internal application named TCS. TCS wants us to support active failover. They normally process/run in us-east-1. Their failover/DR location is us-east-2. Let's say on a daily basis we have something that copies the IFA configuration for TCS in us-east-1 to us-east-2. Upon notification of a failover/DR event we would take the copied IFA configuration for TCS that is on us-east-2 and update the JSON file so that the bucket(s) and rules to us-east-2.
Hi Brian,
We would like to have a follow up discussion to understand the why behind multiple configurations. Can we possibly plan for a follow up next week ?
Thanks,
James
