Implement Secure UDP for Connect Direct File Agent

Our internal security standards want all traffic to be encrypted. Currently, File Agent uses standard UDP (SNMP) to send messages to Control Center. The goal is to have this traffic encrypted. We are being told that in a couple years the PCI DSS standard will be updated to require that all traffic be encrypted.

    Chris:

If Secure UDP can be implemented, it will need to be available for Stand
Alone File Agent as well. Thanks.

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with us. I have reviewed it thoroughly with the C:D and CCM teams and we do believe we can make improvements in how File Agent in monitored by Control Center. We will look to allow Integrated File Agent to be monitored in the same way that Connect:Direct servers are. This will not change the way that stand-alone File Agent is monitored, but should be a step in the right direction and we expect it will meet your security mandates moving forward. I'm accepting this request For Future Consideration to add it to our backlog and we'll look to slot it into our roadmap moving forward.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders
