This portal is to open public enhancement requests for IBM Sterling products and services. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi Rafal, Tomasz
Here is the brief of the suggested solution in the discussion,
Connect:Direct for Windows runs usually as a Windows Local System service, and PostgreSQL supports SSPI authentication.
PostgreSQL uses Windows SSPI (Security Support Provider Interface) to authenticate the Local System account—no password storage required.
PostgreSQL pg_ident mapping associates the authenticated Local System identity with the correct database user.
This approach eliminates credential exposure or storage of un-encrypted private key on disk.
Consideration:
Any process running as Local System could also authenticate via SSPI and gain the same mapped DB access.
Thanks,
James
Hi Rafal, we would like to connect with Citi and propose a solution. I'll plan for a connect next week. Please share your preferences if any. Thanks,
James
Hello IBM Team, may we know when this feature is expected to be delivered?
Hi Tomasz, Attached the solution proposal from our dev for the RFE CONDIRECT-I-233. The approach is more inclined towards CA signed certificate. Please have a look and let me know your thoughts to move forward. Also let me know if you need a meeting to debrief the solution as well.
Thanks,
James
