Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM and for getting back to us with those details. I have reviewed it with my team and unfortunately we won't be able to accept this request.

We don't see much interest from the broader user base to track API connections and this change could have some undesired consequences. We would suggest that setting the api.inactivity timer would probably be the ideal way to counter any hung connections that you may be seeing. Timing out stale connections is generally a good practice regardless and we expect it would meet your needs.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders

    HI Chris,

    Thanks for getting back.

We have limit on API connection we have have for connect direct.

at times we have observe number of issue if this limit reached then we have to manually kill process or terminate API connection or restart CD, and there is no way for us to identify how many API session we used and caused issue so in general we recommend to increase it to maximum we can have.

Thank you again for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I'm checking in again to see if you could let me know what need you're seeing to track the high watermark for API connections? This might help us better understand the situation so that we can determine if there is a need and technical way to accomplish this. If we don't hear back soon I'll likely need to assume that this is no longer needed and close your request out.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders
