We request product support for C: D on IBM i on PowerVS.

We are seriously considering running IBM i on IBM cloud, and the lack of product support for C:D running on IBM i on PowerVS become a major barrier.

I think that the behavior of IBM i on PowerVS is the same as physical server, so please support C: D on PowerVS.

What is your industry? Industrial Products
How will this idea be used?

I believe that support of IBM products on the cloud have a huge impact as a strategy for the IBM cloud.

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I have reviewed it with my team and had discussions with the PowerVS team. In that call they verified that Power VS was simply an IBM hosted option to run i5 systems. Due to that clarification we can support C:D for i5/OS in the same way we would with a locally hosted system with no changes needed from a C:D perspective.
