Need to read/write files to 3rd part encryption format/schema via an I/O exit able to utilize sub processes for the decrypt/encrypt step.

We would be able to read/write to encrypted devices having proprietary formats.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

We would be able to write I/O exits supporting various Customer encryption schemes while maintaining C:D addressing and job flow.

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I have reviewed it thoroughly with my team. Unfortunately we won't be able to accept it. From a technical perspective we don't see a way to add this capability without requiring edits to processes. This likely defeats the purpose of the request as my understanding is that the goal was to change output devices without editing a large number of process scripts. Because of that I must reject this request, but please don't hesitate to open new requests if you think of other ideas we should consider.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders
