Pipe function in CD Win

In CD Unix, there is a very useful function - pipe, which we can use to handle some complex customer requirement by integrating with our customized program. But this function doesn't exist in CD Win. Request to enhance CD Win to provide this function.

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I have reviewed it in detail with my development team. Unfortunately we don't believe that this request will be feasible due to technical limitations. Pipe functionality is built into UNIX/Linus platforms, but it generally doesn't exist on Windows. Because of that we believe using pipes would introduce limitations that would break checkpoint restart capabilities which is a key value to many C:D customers so I'll need to decline this request.

    An alternative option that I'd suggest would be to use the existing Run Task/Job capabilities built into C:D. These can be used to issue OS level commands to third party applications that are triggered by the C:D process itself. We suspect that would likely meet your needs without impacting other areas of C:D. If you have questions about Run Tasks/Jobs please feel free to reach out to our support team asking for guidance.
