The current approach enables to execute a static/hardcoded locally stored CDP process.
This approach is very limited as for example you cannot specify a specific file name in a copy step to be transferred when executing. Therefore please extend the REST API to be able to provide symbolic parameter values much like you can do easily using CLI and the submit statement.
What is your industry? | Non-Industry Specific |
How will this idea be used?
To leverage locally stored generic CDP processes including symbolic parameter for the generic approach. Enabling the rest api to define symbolic parameters values allows to make use of a generic CDP leveraging symbolic parameters. |

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I have reviewed it with my team and believe this would be a valuable enhancement to Connect:Direct. I will accept this request to enhance our REST APIs to allow symbolic variable submission as an uncommitted candidate. This will be added to the C:D roadmap moving forward and we will contact you when it is available.
Sincerely,
Chris Sanders
