Support long connection for large volumes of small files

Our competitor, Tongtech, provide a file transfer tool based on MQ to transfer files and support long connection which means if doesn't need to initiate a new session for each repective files which really lead to a high performance for large volumes of small files.

Hope C:D can support long connection, so that we can have a high performance for very small files. Actually more and more customers in banks start to produce small files rather than big files to facilitate futher file processing.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

Customers can configure long connection between 2 C:D nodes so that they can promote the performance for large volumes of small files.

Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM.  I have reviewed the request with my development team and we are all in agreement that it would be valuable to provide an option for a connection to linger awaiting additional files to transfer.  I've accepted this enhancement request as an uncommitted candidate and we will look to add it to our roadmap moving forward.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Sanders
