Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Connect:Direct for HP Non-Stop v3.6.0.2 bug fix needed to display protocol in full in NDM log

Currently in NDM log for C:D HP Non-Stop v3.6.0.2, the protocol is not displayed in full. In v3.6.0.1 there was only SSL vs TLS, but in v3.6.0.2, it is TLS1.0 and TLS1.2, thus truncation happened. Since operation/application support teams do not usually manage security, they cannot view NDMAIMS configurations, thus relying on NDM transmission logs to identify TLS protocol in effect. Plesae fix this bug for v3.6.0.2 so as to show the protocol in full for easy troubleshooting. This is in relation to PMR 01707,227,000 opened.

How will this idea be used?

When connection failes between 2 parties using SecurePlus, support and operations need to troubleshoot connectivity issue in C:D SecurePlus for HP Non-Stop v3.6.0.2. They will review NDM log and confirm the correct protocol and ciphers are in effect. Without the protocol being displayed correctly in full, it hinders troubleshooting process thus delaying resolution to SecurePlus connection issue between the 2 parites.

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM.  I have reviewed it with my team and believe this would best be handled via our support organization.  Please open a PMR and one of our support engineers will assist you in resolving the problems you described.  As this is not an enhancement request I will need to decline this request, but you'll see a link below to our support portal.
