Alert to files stuck in SFG mailbox

Occasionally when SFG encounters issues files will not get picked up and routed by SFG. Until the file has been picked up by the SFG routing rule it is not visible in the SFG arrived file display meaning it is hard to identify where there are issues and to resolve them. A good first step would be to make it easy to alert if any file arrives into a mailbox bit is then not picked up within a configured time period. This can in theory be done with a workflow SLC but the challenge is then getting a view of the filenames and mailbox paths of all the impacted files to enable speedy resolution.

Current State and Gap: Lot of files HSBC that processing payments, customer sends a file with payment, which have to processed in certain timeframe (9am – 5pm weekdays) and if they miss the cut-off, it is a regulatory issue (past example – HSBC processed payments on behalf of other banks and missed the cutoff). HSBC would like to reduce time and effort to recover from an issue with SFG.

Requirement: As HSBC, we want the ability to know which file (that are not processed/sitting in producer mailbox) for a duration, so that we can make sure we meet the cut-off.

Desired State: By having an alert, HSBC will be able to see files that are stuck for a duration.
