Increase character limit for Description field to more than 255 characters.

We are not planning to increase the description field but you can add up to 10 metadata fields to a server which will make it easer to extract the metadata rather then parse through a long description.

In the next release we have enhanced the Server Inventory Report to show those metadata fields.

We are attempting to track our CD nodes more closely with application team information and other fields that aren't provided out of the box.

We are particularly interested in the description field while adding CD node in IBM Control Center and preferably around 1024 characters.

With this idea, we would like to increase character limit for Description field during server addition. Refer the screenshot that is attached in this idea.

There is business requirement to generate the report from Sterling Control Center for all servers that should have end-to-end details about the server'/application.

We would like to utilize the description field and update teh details of application in this field.

Thank you for submitting the enhancement request. So that I can better understand your requirement, can you provide some specifics on which decscription field would need to be increased or is this more of a general statement about all description fields. Also, can you share a bit more around the use case that is driving the need for a larger description field? In addtion, if we are to look at increasing the field(s), is there an increase in size that would meet your needs?
