When we run our CDW installs/upgrades, either via manual or automated installations, we do not choose to install the FA component.
When we've attempted to utilize CCD as our lifecycle management tool, it automatically installs the optional FA component, thus completing halting our use of CCD for CDW upgrades, as cleanup time incurred vastly outweighs time benefit of the CCD upgrade.
We are looking for a way to choose our installed component options in CCD, the same way we're able to able customize our components directly in CDW installations/upgrades.
Or just remove CDFA from the installed components in CCD upgrades altogether.

How will this idea be used?
To allow optional component installation selection to be just that; optional. |

Chris,
This is available for new CDW deployments and will be fixed as a defect for upgrades in an upcoming fixpack.

Chris,
I now realize that you would like the CDW File Agent install to be optional in CCD.
Moving this back to Under Consideration

Chris,
With CD 6.3 File Agent is included in the default.
For older version of CD we have created a defect, to install File Agent by default.
