support filesizes greater than 2GB in the http adapters

the http and related adapters are currently limited to 2 GB file sizes.  As communication across https becomes more common, especially in the big data arena, the adapters need to support > 2GB.  This is a limitation of java 1.7, thus a move to java 1.8 would be required.

How will this idea be used?

Interfacing with AWS S3 requires use of https adapters to go through the perimeter servers.  Thus, currently interacting with S3 buckets limits us to 2GB file chunks, requiring extra processing and logic to handle files greater than 2GB

We are building an interface to Sharepoint and this restriiction is rather outdated. File sizes are always handled as Long (not Integer) values.

The S3 client adapter in B2Bi v6.0 should address large file transfers to S3
