Provide an option to perform non-recursive file listing on AWS S3 buckets in Sterling B2B Integrator.

Currently, the AWS S3 list operation in Sterling B2B Integrator is always recursive. When a bucket (or its subfolders) contains a very large number of files, the list operation becomes extremely heavy. This causes Business Processes to hang, time out, or consume excessive system resources.

When listing the root of a bucket or a specific folder, the operation automatically returns files from all nested subfolders as well. In large buckets, this behaviour makes the list operation unmanageable.

Requested Enhancement:

We request an option in the Sterling AWS connector to perform a non-recursive list operation.

Specifically, the ability to list only the immediate contents of a specified bucket path/folder, while excluding files located in subfolders.

Through this we expect the following benefit:

This enhancement would significantly improve performance, prevent Business Process blocking, and allow customers to safely handle large S3 buckets without requiring custom code or professional services.

How will this idea be used?

As a Sterling B2B Integrator customer, we need to list files from an AWS S3 bucket folder without recursively including subfolder contents, so that Business Processes can efficiently pick up files without hanging or timing out when the bucket contains a large number of files.
