Automated Certificate Lifecycle Management for Sterling B2B Integrator in Alignment with Zero Trust Architecture

Hi,

As organizations continue progressing toward Zero Trust Architecture, the importance of secure and streamlined certificate management becomes increasingly critical. We request for enhancement to B2B Certificate management.

Current Challenge:
Today, managing digital certificates across Sterling B2B Integrator, Liberty servers, CLA2 ,etc is a manual process. Each component handles certificate updates differently, with limited automation. This becomes a significant operational burden, particularly in environments requiring frequent certificate renewal.

Emerging Requirement:
With DigiCert and other Certificate Authorities moving towards shorter certificate validity periods — now officially reducing TLS certificate lifetimes to 47 days  (TLS Certificate Lifetimes Will Officially Reduce to 47 Days | DigiCert)  — enterprises face the unsustainable task of manually rotating certificates every 6–7 weeks.

Proposed Enhancement:

We request for centralized, fully automated certificate management framework within Sterling B2B Integrator that includes:

-  ACME protocol support for automated certificate issuance and renewal (e.g., with DigiCert or Let’s Encrypt).

-  A unified certificate management console across B2Bi, Liberty, CLA2, and other integrated services.

-  Scheduled and policy-driven renewal of certificates (e.g., every 45 days).

-  Seamless deployment of renewed certificates with minimal or no downtime.

we also want to streamline the same process for other MFT product like SEAS , SSP , ICC etc. Again, every product has its own way of manually managing the certificate which is becoming very tedious.  This enhancement will significantly improve operational efficiency and risk mitigation for enterprises using B2B Integrator in modern, security-sensitive environments.

Regards

Raghu
