Increase VALUE column length from 100 characters to 255 in ACT_NON_XFER table.

The reports regarding table ACT_NON_XFER in the Sterling Integrator Database, show incomplete information. The VALUE column is capped at 100 characters, resulting in incomplete visualization of values such as mailboxes.

We are suggesting to change the VALUE column length to completely encapsulate the information.

What is your industry? Healthcare
How will this idea be used?

Reports will then show complete information for monitoring capabilities, and changes will be traceable, allowing for correct auditing.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Your request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme aligns with our current roadmap and, as such, is being tagged for future consideration and is part of our long-term strategy. We cannot commit to a delivery window at this time, but this is something we agree would be beneficial in the product.

This enhancement would require a DB schema change, and that is not something we can deliver in a fixpack. As such, we'll need to plan this for a major version release and that will take time as we only release major versions infrequently.

We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. We recommend having discussions with your account team in 9-12 months for roadmap updates.

Please note: IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. I truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations and ideas.

I need a little more information to understand your idea.

    • Can you provide some examples of the values you are using and what is being stored/returned in the ACT_NON_XFER table?

    • Are you using mailbox names that are greater than 100 characters? Are you concatenating mailbox names?

    • Do you use a mailbox naming scheme that results in very long mailbox paths?

I'm looking forward to your response. Once I can develop a clear picture of your request, I'll be able to let you know if we can add your idea to our future offering roadmap.
