Report on the Ciphers and MAC algorithms and TLS versions in use for all trading partner connections

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

In order to be able to remove deprecated ciphers and algorithms, it is handy to know if any existing trading partners are utilising these to (a) determine impact of removal, and (b) identify and provide correspondence to affected partners when we intend to remove any deprecated or weak ciphers.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

As per the details, this would be used to identify the impact of removing deprecated or weak ciphers/mac algorithms.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

IBM has evaluated the request and has determined that it cannot be implemented at this time.

Sterling Secure Proxy 6.2.0.1 onwards now has this ability to do this and send reports to Control Center. Our recommendation would be use SSP to determine cipher, MAC and TLS versions for your connections.

Thank you for bringing your ideas to us. If you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation.
