This portal is to open public enhancement requests for IBM Sterling products and services. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This is going in circles.
I had originally opened a support case with IBM and was told this functionality wasn't available, and that I should submit this enhancement request.
Hi Aryan,
Development has taken a closer look at this request and our SFTP 2.0 adapter uses higher ciphers by default. There is also a way to include older ciphers via configuration. See:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/b2b-integrator/6.2.0?topic=z-sftp-server-adapter-20
Note: If you want to include the deprecated SSH MAC algorithms, you need to include them by updating
SSHMacAlgList_SSHD
in thesecurity.properties
Our recommendation would be to move from SFTP 1.0 to the 2.0 adapters in order to pick up the latest ciphers. In future, we would consider deprecating the SFTP 1.0 adapters in a major release due to the weaker security ciphers of the older adapters.
As such, I'm going to mark this RFE as functionality already exists.
Hello,
When scanning the SFTP host from various tools, it continues to flag for "hmac-sha1" as alive in the system even though it has completely been removed/commented in all the property files. This is becoming an issue for us now after our cybersec started flagging them.
FYI, the cipher "blowfish-cbc" is not an issue any more (at least for us) after we started using "supportCBCCiphers=false" in the customer overrides.
We are on the latest version 6204.
Any update on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Your request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme aligns with our current long-term roadmap and, as such, is being tagged for future consideration.
We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.
If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. We recommend having discussions with your account team in 6-9 months for roadmap updates.
