Support for JMS 2.0

Currently, in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator version 6.2.0, the supported JMS version is 1.1, and it's at its End of Life (surpassed by version 2.0).

We are restricted by the Compliance and Security Team from using older versions of products or that are end-of-life.

We need to ascertain whether the next release will support JMS 2.0, as it is mandatory for our use. If it does, we also need information on the release date.”

For us, it is not necessary to be specifically JMS 2.0. We just need support from IBM Sterling for a protocol that is not surpassed or in end-of-life.

We could also use AMQP to communicate with the message broker, if it's in the process of being implemented in future releases.

What is your industry? Computer Services
How will this idea be used?

Improve the version of JMS used to communicate with the message broker to offer better support and security.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Your request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme aligns with our current roadmap and, as such, is being tagged for future consideration and is part of our long-term strategy. We cannot commit to a delivery window at this time, but this is something we agree would be beneficial in the product.

We are currently focused on upgrading to Java 17 and our TLS 1.3 rollout as these features provide widely-impacting security benefits to all customers, but this highly-voted request is in our top 10 next priorities once the current work is completed.

We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. We recommend having discussions with your account team in 6-9 months for roadmap updates.

Please note: IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion.
