Kill Switch / Hardstop for Adapters in irresponsive stat

Hi Team,

we had many occasions where an adapter is in irresponsive stat, and we will not be able to start the adapter via Sterling dashboard or via opscmd.sh / opscmd.cmd. We have tried many times to stop via opscmd.sh/cmd and start it still comes with error could not start the adapter.

In this case we had to stop and restart sterling integrator which causes outage and delay in processing files.

We would like to have kind of kill switch /hardstop which can stop the problematic adapter alone (either update the status to database/reinstate the connectivity to the adapter) and start it successfully.

Thanks and Regards,

Suresh Subramanian

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. I truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations and ideas.

After discussing this case with our development team, this may need to be investigated in a support case. Our scripts do support shutting down any adapter, via the ops command or via softstop. Our recommendation is to open a ticket with support and have them investigate your situation in more detail.
