HA Connectivity for Sterling Integrator to Oracle Database and Support Multiple scan address for RACs Scan

Hi Team,

We would like to have a feature in sterling integrator to support HA connectivity when connect to oracle Database and also to support multiple scan address for RACs scan.

Currently in sterling application we have configured the jdbc connection string for oracle as below with multiple RACs as advised by IBM, however recently IBM reviewed the jdbc setting and confirmed that currently sterling integrator doesn't support the multiple scan address for RAC scan and hence raising the enhancement request.

jdbc:oracle:thin:@ (DESCRIPTION= (ADDRESS_LIST= (FAILOVER=ON) (LOAD_BALANCE=OFF) (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=scanhost1)(PORT=1521)) (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=scanhost2)(PORT=1521)) ) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=myservicename OR mySID)) )

We have frequent DB failover activities (Due to patch and DB maintenance activities) for which we need to stop the application and start it once the DB failover is complete which creates many outages to application. Also need to support in the event of any DB node is unavailable it should automatically failover to available node.

Thanks and Regards,

Suresh Subramanian
