Portable installation for B2B (non container)

In our environment we do not use container for B2B, but we have an automated installation process using IBM Installation Manager, however this process is slow and difficult to generate all the steps to make it autonomous.

We would like the B2B installation to be portable, like a .tar file where it would be enough to extract it and perform one or two steps to configure the database and something specific to the environment itself and that's it.

This process would make it much simpler to install and automate installation in any environment, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

IBM has evaluated the request and has determined that it cannot be implemented at this time or does not align with our current strategy or roadmap. This would require a very heavy refactoring of our codebase to make this work and due to all the configuration required, we do not believe this is feasible outside of containers.

Thank you for bringing your ideas to us. If you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation.
