GPM (Graphical Process Modeler)

The current version of GPM does not function with the current Java SDK levels. The last valid Java JDK is Java 1.8.0_281. This fails to meet current Java versions for vulnerability issues. As a result, many will have to justify the need to run an older version of Java to run the application. This has been an issue for over 5 years.

The product needs to be brought up to date so we can use the current Java version. Also, the embedded cert has expired and gives a warning message every time you attempt to run it.

What is your industry? Financial Markets
How will this idea be used?

Allow the ability for the tool to be launched with a current Java level, instead of having to attempt to keep older version of Java to allow the application to run.

    Hi Edwin,

Confirming with engineering, we test the GPM with the Java version bundled with the product and do not enounter any issues with expired certificates. As of 6.2.0, this is IBM Java 8.0.7.20+. Please note that the GPM does not work with Oracle versions of Java. Our recommendation is to use the IBM JDK that is bundled with the version of B2Bi and OS you are using and see if you have any issues.

We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation.
