On XML Digital Signature service, you can choose which signature and digest method to use when signing;
http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more#rsa-sha256
https://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more#rsa-sha1
However, when using the service in verify mode, it is not possible to validate these values in the signed file.
Customer has strict security requirements where sha1 is not allowed, if XML DSig service would have an option to verify signature method and digest method values to increase security, it would benefit the product, since this now has to be done in a java service.

How will this idea be used?
It will be used to implement the security requirements by the customer and will benefit the product, since we then can remove the custom java code that we have written. |
