Custom HTTP Headers Response for B2B Sterling Integrator Applications

Web Application Security is always evolving and new vulnerabilities and hardening futures are being created continously.

Many of the vulnerabilities remediation are based of add parameters in the HTTP Response Header. For example:

  • Content-Security-Policy

  • HTTP Strict- Transport-Security

  • Set-Cookie

We need an easy way using properties file to add custom http response header for the B2B Sterling Integrator in case that we are no using Secure Proxy or any other Reverse Proxy working as passthrough with the B2B Sterling Integration working as SSL end.

What is your industry? Healthcare
How will this idea be used?

B2B Sterling Administrator will have an easy and quick way to mitigate Critical CVE as a workaround until security patches provided by IBM solve the vulnerability. Also we can use custom headers for better tracking or log analysis.

Thank you for participating in the Idea community. Due to other priorities at this time, we are accepting this into our backlog. We see the request was reviewed by the IBM PSIRT process.

Of note, we do have an upcoming release with a Rest (HTTP) Server, in which this customization could be done. Keep an eye out for the next v.R release
