PGP Encryption/Decryption of a file with multiple recipients

Trading Partners may encrypt a file using multi-recipient encryption. For instance, they may encrypt a file with our Public PGP key as well as their own key. When we receive that file, we should be able to decrypt using our private key.

Symantec and GPG both have this feature, but IBM Native PGP does not. IBM support has confirmed to us that IBM Native PGP does not support multi-recipient Encryption or multi-recipient Decryption.

At the very least we need to be able to decrypt a file having multi-recipient encryption. IBM Native PGP currently fails when we try to decrypt a file that has multi-recipient encryption. IBM support suggested we open an enhancement request for this feature.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Your request may not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme aligns with our current roadmap and, as such, is being tagged for future consideration and is part of our long-term strategy. We cannot commit to a delivery window at this time, but this is something we agree would be beneficial in the product.

IBM may consider and evaluate any community feedback for your request through activities such as voting and we may reach out to you about this request to discuss additional details with you in the future.

We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

If you have any additional feedback or thoughts, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. We recommend having discussions with your account team in 6-9 months for roadmap updates.

Please note: IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion.
