Option to exclude MAILBOX messages from PurgeAll.sh

We run SI as stateless, but use MAILBOX for B2B communication.

We clean up SI once every quarter to improve the performance / response time. The clean up process becomes cumbersome because we have to make sure all MAILBOX messages are backed up until right before the PurgeAll.sh is run and restore each message after the PurgeAll.sh completes execution. There has been situations where we were not able to capture all mailbox messages during the SYNC and have missed critical customer notifications.

So to help with minimizing / preventing business interruption, and avoiding the manual effort to restore the mailbox messages, the feature to exclude the MAILBOX messages from the purgeall would be of tremendous value.

What is your industry? Travel & Transportation
How will this idea be used?

This feature will minimize / prevent business interruption and avoiding the manual effort to restore the mailbox messages after the DB table clean up that the PurgeAll.sh script helps with.

    Ryan,

Thanks much for the feedback. Is it possible to get the list of tables that we can use to restore all MAILBOX message? This will satisfy our needs. Really appreciate your help.

    Thanx,

    Ramesh

Thank you for participating in the request for enhancement community. At this time, we are unable to prioritize this request in the short term, however, we will continue to monitor this for customer interest. The purge all -l will list the tables and can be given to a DBA, with appropriate backups in place
