Remove case sensitivity in trading partner accounts logins

SFG/B2BI requires case sensitivity when our trading partners log into the system (abcd is not equal to ABCD). This is causing issues for our trading partners as we migrate from our legacy MFT that did not have this restriction.

What is your industry? Travel & Transportation
How will this idea be used?

The removal of case sensitivity will reduce the chance that a trading partner will experience issues logging into our MFT.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

IBM has evaluated the request and has determined that it cannot be implemented at this time or does not align with our current strategy or roadmap.

Adding this feature would weaken our overall security posture in the product and goes against industry best practices and IBM's security guidance. Customers who enable this would become more vulnerable to brute force attacks and this is not something we would want to encourage customers to use.

Perhaps some additional configuration options are in order to either A) translate all ID's used to lower case, or B) translate all ID's used to upper case upon login/access attempts -- this way regardless of the cased nature of the ID entered by the trading partner, the system will properly translate and acknowledge the matching user account.

This is important for SEAS too, as well as SI/B2BI.
