Support token based authentication for HTTP adapters and Product REST communications
We are using the 6.1 product REST, the REST Auth.war and a set of custom REST services (the latter two in HTTP Adapters). We have a security challenge on the use of Basic Auth for securing these services which we access via a gateway (Tyk) from a remote custom application. Our organisation's security standards are that token-based authentication mechanisms should be used for authentication of services, to avoid exposures with Basic Auth. So we would like to ask if this can be achieved (we don't think so, looking at the Adapter configs) or can be added to a roadmap.
What is your industry?
How will this idea be used?
To meet security standards for Integration security which do not allow Basic Auth.
