Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Create multiple indexes in one shot
When developing and working with item(s), it could be interesting to create several indexes of an item in one shot. This is to avoid using the "add index" function again and again (which is time consuming)
Make component rules validation optional, just as it is the case with restriction lists
In WTX, when running a map, there's an option to avoid validating restriction lists. Having the same option for component rules could be useful in some cases.
DTXDS APIs for the Launcher
We are currently trying to automate a bit our software lifecycle management and we would like to automate the compilation and deployment of maps on our Linux system. We are using Azure pipeline for this automatization and we would like to have a w...
data anonymization/masking (typetree attribute + test mode)
There are 2 requirements that lead to this idea:
1.) external requirements like GDPR force us to anonymize/pseudonymize data in non-production environments2.) A-B-testing would be much easier if we can mask dynamic attributes (e.g. timestamps)
referenced TypeTree (parts)
You can build one TypeTree or one strucutre and can use it for example as part of choice-group in another TypeTree. Everybody that use TypeTree as a kind of central unit and have to reuse these structures in other interfaces will benefit.
read/write IIB environment tree in ITX plugin
Other IIB transformation engines can access all parts of an iib message (environment, local environment, ...). But the current implementation of the ITX plugin only allows to work with the payload of an iib message.
Please enhance ITX plugin s...
Handling XML data Using WTX map
We have a WTX translation map from xml to Legacy format. The source xml type tree has been created with the XSD schema. Currently the map was working fine with the xml data because it is matching with type tree structure. However the client is say...
A script to identify & package a Launcher/CS/API core and dependant libraries, allowing for remote core analysis on Linux
In order to analyse a Linux core file on IBM lab machines, we need to gather & package all shared libs (included OS) from the system. A script that finds out all loaded DLLs from the core and packages them is needed. We don't have such a scrip...
ITXA - Missing GS ID causes entire file to fail validation
During the Deenvelope service, missing envelope for GS id causes the entire file to fail. The process should fail only the missing GS and continue processing the rest of the file.
Request for caching to work with WTX Oracle adapter
Hello , We have review your questions and comment with our developers in order for this result caching to work with WTX Oracle adapter, a design change would be needed in order to cache the Oracle statement handle. Currently, WTX Oracle adapter on...
