Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Allow Admin User To Act As Non-Admin User
As a Control Center admin, I can see all activity while signed in with my own credentials. To troubleshoot incidents for other users, it is advantageous to sign in with the same credentials they have so that I can see things from their points of v...
Improve Control Center Calendars
There needs to be more flexibility with Control Center calendars. Let's say for example, I need a calendar for January, April, July, and October to be daily. The way calendar maintenance currently works, if I select all of the active days for thos...
Control Center 6.1 - Web Console Enhancement #2
It seems that some functionality has been removed from the Web console in version 6.1 that was there in version 184.108.40.206. In 220.127.116.11 from the Active Alerts screen a user could filter what they wanted to see. I do not see any way of doing this in ve...
Control Center OpenVMS Support
We would like IBM Control Center to be able to monitor and manage C:D nodes on the OpenVMS platform.
Sometimes mistakes happen. A user may accidentally handle an alert. It would be great if an enhancement was added where as long as the handled alert is still present in the Handled Alerts Monitor, the user could then check that handled alert and s...
Duplicate rules and/or actions in Control Center 6.2.1
Prior to version 6.2, rules and/or actions could be duplicated by using the classic console. During the duplication action, the user changes the necessary information in order to make the new rule/action unique. I don't see a way to do this in ver...
Add Servers in Control Center Monitoring to Connect:Direct Web Services Automatically
When utilizing APIs or manual entry of servers to ICC monitoring, have that automatically add the servers to the Connect:Direct Web Services. This will alleviate hours of manual work when onboarding new servers or existing servers to allow for Web...
Consolidate all ICC admin functionality under Web Console.
Currently functions in ICC such as creating SLC's for all types other then simple SLC and creating/managing DVGs all must be done through the Classic Console. Besides the inconvenience of switching back and forth between the Web Console and Classi...
Add line number column to be used for Active Alerts
On the Active Alerts screen for the Web console there isn't a line/item # column. This exists in version 18.104.22.168 for the Java/Swing console, but not 6.1 and above Web console. Add to user configuration view allowing users to select.
Ability to edit SLC name
Currently if a user wants to change the name of a SLC, it must be duplicated and then a new name can be given and the original slc can be deleted. The SLC name needs to be an editable field to allow updates.
Do not place IBM confidential, company confidential, or personal information into any field.
